About HayesX
HayesX makes the HayesX-250, a single-seat electric personal aircraft. The pilot companion app is an app designed for HayesX-250 pilots: preflight, logbook and manuals in one place.
What I did
- Designed the app’s screens and flows.
- Built it as a progressive web app with Next.js, so it runs in the browser and can be added to a phone’s home screen.
- Managed the project from outline to a clickable version.

- A preflight checklist with the aircraft’s airworthiness and maintenance status up front
- A digital logbook that tracks flights and total hours
- Manuals in one place
- Messages, an account section and a one-tap Emergency button
