A calm class-booking app for a pilates studio

A class-booking app for a boutique pilates and mobility studio, where members can find a class, book a reformer and manage credits in a few taps.

My role
Brand, UI design & prototype
Three phone screens of the Kinetik app on black with a warm amber glow: a Discover screen with Yoga, Pilates, HIIT and Recover photo tiles, the Reformer Flow class page with a Book class button, and a You're booked confirmation with Add to calendar.

The brief

Kinetik is a boutique pilates and mobility studio. Small studios often take bookings through texts, DMs and clunky generic apps. Members can’t see how many spots are left, and full classes turn into a long back-and-forth.

My approach

  • Dark and calm: a pure black UI with a soft amber glow at the top, so the app feels like a dimmed studio.
  • Photo-led: big, warm photo tiles for Yoga, Pilates, HIIT and Recover do the talking.
  • Quiet type: one light sans for everything, with small uppercase labels for lists.
  • One warm accent: amber is kept for booking, spots left and progress.

What’s inside

  • A weekly schedule with filters for reformer, mat and mobility
  • A class page and one-tap booking, ending in a confirmation with Add to calendar
  • Membership and credits, with plan options
  • A progress ring for classes attended this month
  • An automatic waitlist, plus a small design system
Three dark phone screens: a weekly schedule with spots left on each class, a progress screen with an amber ring showing 9 of 12 classes this month, and a membership screen with credits left and plan options.Kinetik design system board with the logo and app icons, a black, bone and amber palette with sand, terracotta and olive tile tones, the type scale, the four photo tiles, buttons, rows and line icons.
